Raphael E. Strauss, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.A.A.A.I.
Strauss Allergy & Asthma Therapy opened its Westbury office in 2007, but Dr. Raphael (Ralph) Strauss has been a practicing allergist for over 23 years.
Dr. Strauss is certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology.
After graduating cum laude from Brandeis University, he began his medical career at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1986. He did his internship and residency in pediatrics at Schneider Children's Hospital/ Long Island Jewish Medical Center. There, he was recognized with the Best Resident Teaching Award in 1989. He followed up his residency with a two-year fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Strauss has multiple professional affiliations, including Winthrop University Hospital, North Shore University Hospital, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital, and Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Nassau County Medical Society, and the American College and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He has authored and coauthored a number of publications for professional journals. Dr. Strauss has made several TV appearances as an expert in allergy and has been quoted in media publications such as the New York Times.
Steven Satnick, M.D., F.A.C.A.A.I.
Dr. Steve Satnick earned his bachelor of science degree from SUNY Stony Brook, graduating with high honors, and earned his medical degree in 1980 from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He performed his residency in internal medicine from 1980 to 1983 at Downstate Medical Center and was Chief Resident from 1983 to 1984. Dr. Satnick was awarded a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at SUNY Stony Brook from 1984 through 1987.
Dr. Satnick is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, a member of the American Medical Association, and the Long Island Allergy Society. He is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Center, NY, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of internal medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital.
